A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing this couple's wedding in Coronation.  It was a cool spring day but thank goodness the rain and snow held off.
The wedding party was very easy going and eager to do whatever we suggested.  As you can tell by some of the images we always have fun with our weddings and try to keep everyone relaxed and ready for the fun to continue throughout the picture taking. Most of my pictures start out with me posing them but they always seem to turn into something totally different which I love.
This part of my job is what has totally surprised myself.  I usually always need to have things planned out (though, most of the time last minute).  I used to lay awake the night before my photo sessions, weddings, etc.  thinking and fretting about how I was going to pose people, where I was going to pose them, the weather, etc.  I have since learned to trust my creativity to come to me as I am in the moment.  Now, I quite often go into a photo session having no idea what I am going to do (which totally freaks out my assistant, Shawna! But she is learning to just go with the flow and follow my lead) It all seems to turn out in the end, I continue to surprise myself when I get my images home and into my computer to look through.  This is where the second half of my creativeness comes out.  I love "playing" with the images and seeing what I can do with them.
I absolutely love what I do and love being a wife and mom to my 3 wonderful children.  Sometimes it is unbelieveably hard and there are sacrifices that I make with my work and my family.  It is because of my kids that I am where I am today.  They were my inspiration and photographing them gave me so much joy and brought out my creativity,  a whole new part of me that I never really let out before. I just had to share it with everyone else.
I have a very busy couple of months ahead.  This week I have 3 grads and a newborn baby to photograph, my kids dance, ball and soccer to run with.  I'll try and keep this blog updated as much as I can!
Now here are some images from the wedding a couple of weeks ago...
