This is a sample of a front and back image wrap cover for the guestbooks I offer, and the following image are what the pages look like.  Each page has an image and enough room around the image for the guests to sign their names or write a special note.

Rockstar!

While visiting with friends a couple of weeks ago, the 7 year old girl brought out her new guitar that she is eager to start lessons with this fall. As soon as I saw the glittery pink guitar, I just had to photograph her with it. So yesterday I picked her up and we spent almost an hour at a few different locations, including her dad's antique trucks. I think she really enjoyed herself, I know I sure did! Thanks so much, A (and mom) for giving me the opportunity to photograph you, I had a blast and the end result is just what I expected. You're a rockstar!!!

Beautiful outdoor wedding

I had the pleasure of being asked to photograph my cousin's wedding in August.  The weather turned out beautiful, just a little shower of rain during the family pictures but that was it. I met the girls in the salon that morning and followed them to get their make up done and then in a mad panic to get dressed as they were running a little late!  We made it to the ceremony at my grandparents farm and Catherine made her grande entrance with her dad by her side.  My little man Connor was the ring bearer and was very smug as he walked down the aisle holding Catherine's neice's hand!
Congratulations Mark and Catherine and thank you for including me in your special day!

Another little one.

The next day I had another session from a new baby and his parents.  They came from Stettler to visit me.  He loved to be snuggled in a warm fuzzy blanket most of the time but let us take it away for a few shots near the end.

A little bundle of joy

I have the pleasure of photographing this couple's wedding 2 years ago.  They now have a beautiful baby girl which they brought to have her first photo session.  She was very alert and even had enough hair that we were able to put a flower in.  She had a little fussy time but did give me some beautiful images to work with.

August started with another large family session.  We arrived at after having to reschedule twice already that weekend due to weather and people feeling a bit under the weather!  We got through the session with some laughs despite a few sprinkles of rain.

The month of July.

Yikes!!!  5 weeks has past since my last blog.  That's what happens when summer holidays arrives I guess.  The month of July continued with more grads, a car show, ball pictures, family pictures, anniversarys, Kiera's 5th birthday and camping with friends and hosting family camping in our yard.
The grad pictures were all so much fun and I was able to take them all at unique locations close to home.
This grad requested having her pictures taken at the Mudd Buttes which are just south of Monitor.  They are a beautiful location and her teal dress looked awesome in that setting.  The mosquitos this evening were especially bad but we didn't let them slow us down!

The next day I had the Consort Weeds to Street Classics Car Show.  Every year I take a picture of each vehicle that enters and make personalized fridge magnets for them.  This is an example with our 1968 Firebird.

Then on Sunday I drove to Veteran to photograph the East Central Bulls ball team and take some action shots.

The second week in July, the rain held me back a bit but I managed to get another grad session and a family session.  For the grad session, we toured around the yard and the farm and found some fun spots to take her pictures.  Her blue dress was gorgeous and the sun was just right that evening to help make some amazing images.

I have photographed this family for many years now.   Every second year I photograph the family and on the alternate years I photograph just the kids.   Shawna and I drove to their place and we took most of the pictures in a nice quiet area in the trees as well as in front of their new home. Shawna always accompanies me and we have a few laughs and end up with some great memories for ourselves as well as for the family!

On the weekend I was asked to photograph a large group that was celebrating their 100th year of ranching.

I also caught some of the cousins having a little fun as they lined up oldest to youngest...

The next week brought more rain and I had to postpone more sessions but did manage to fit in a grad.
It was a perfect evening for pictures.  I loved this dress when I saw it and couldn't wait to see what I could do to show it off in the pictures.

This week I also had a cute little guy join me for his first visit at the studio.  We had a few outfit changes and ended the session with a special picture for his daddy.

On the weekend was Kiera's 5th Birthday and then we left to go camping for a week on Monday.  I had a party for Kiera once we were home from camping.  Here she is blowing out the candles and enjoying the cake!

I had a few sessions booked for the last week of July.  I'm thinking this was the last of my 2010 grads and it was a great session to end it.  This grad brought her friend with her and we had a blast.

Later in the week I did a family session for a couple that I had photographed their wedding last summer.  Since then they have added to their family a sweet little boy that you will probably recognize from a session earlier in the month.  This family has been through so much since their wedding just over a year ago.  They hold a very special place in my heart and I wish them nothing but the best in the future.
We met in Coronation and took some casual family pictures, then some in their Livestrong gear and ended the session at the ball park with daddy wearing his very special autographed jersey from his favorite player.

The last day of July I photographed another large family gathering.  I'm still working on these proofs but will try and get some of them posted soon.
